Meet The Team

ETPM is proud to have brought together a Specialist Recruitment Team that delivers the best possible service to our clients and candidates in the Marine, Subsea, ROV and the Survey / Inspection Industries. Of course, behind our Recruitment Team is a fantastic Admin team that keeps everything in good order.

Built on a culture of trust, transparency and inclusion, our team members bring their own personality and skills to ETPM, working together to deliver results. Find out a bit more about each team member below:

Recruitment Team

JAY SMITH

Recruitment Manager

Jay has been at ETPM ensuring the smooth running of the business since day one.

Even more challenging than being the Recruitment Manager of ETPM, Jay is in his sixth decade of following Aberdeen Football Club. He is renowned in the office for his eclectic music taste and love of Boxer dogs!

Jay’s recommendation is to listen to old Northern Soul records.

MEGHAN DIXON

Recruitment Team Lead

Meghan joined the ETPM team in July 2017! She ventured into recruitment after achieving her Law Degree from Aberdeen University. Now with 12 years of recruitment experience, she leads the Marine Team.

When she isn’t navigating soft play with her little girl, Meghan’s natural habitat is a peaceful coffee shop somewhere in the Aberdeenshire sticks.

Meghan recommends The Old Pier in Stonehaven for a relaxing coffee.

Tasha Giles

Recruitment Team Lead

Tasha joined ETPM in 2021 after having worked for a number of vessel owners over a 14 year career in the Marine industry. Her experience is invaluable in understanding firsthand what our clients need in the recruitment process! She now leads the ROV, Survey, Subsea and Inspection division.

Tash can be found roaming the Scottish countryside in her free time, visiting castles and wildlife parks. She hopes to be filling positions from her own castle in the near future!

Tasha’s recommendation for a castle with lots of history and a good woodland walk is Drum Castle.

JOHN FORBES

Recruiter

John has been with us for a number of years as a recruiter for the Marine team (he’s the man when it comes to Crane Operators!) after an illustrious career including DJing, zookeeping, train driving and web design – to name but a few! We’re very grateful that he’s landed at ETPM.

When he isn’t entertaining the team with his many stories, he enjoys an expertly brewed cup of coffee and keeping up with the football.

John’s home brewing coffee recommendations are the Moka Pot for the weekend or the V60 for convenience.

Emily Hughes

Emily Hughes

Recruiter

Emily joined ETPM as a Marine Recruiter in August 2019 after a career pivot from dental management. A natural social butterfly, she’s found her career-calling in recruitment but her dental expertise is a welcome addition to the team!

If there’s something fun happening at ETPM, you can be sure that Emily was responsible for organising it! Outside of work, she can usually be found with her sausage dog, Walter, in tow.

Emily recommends the Long Dog Café as the best dog-friendly café in Aberdeen.

Gary Hodd

Senior Recruiter

Gary (or Gaz) joined the team in 2022, focusing primarily on Survey recruitment, having worked in the sector for over 5 years. His previous roles in the Offshore Oil & Gas industries and the Royal Navy have given him a great knowledge base of the Marine world and he does love a chat with our contractors.

Gaz enjoys geeking it up on his Playstation or relaxing with his fiancé and their two cats!

For Playstation, Gaz recommends Mass Effect 2.

Vicki Dunn

Senior Recruiter

Vicki came to ETPM in 2022 having worked in the industry for over 16 years. She has endless knowledge of the recruitment world; we are lucky to have her!

After a period of globe-trotting, she’s settled into Aberdeenshire and is managing to keep up with a perfected work life balance. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her in a Fitness class / Gym session or spending time with her pampered pets, Luna and Myla.

If you want to strike the perfect work life balance like Vicki, she recommends getting out and about in the fresh air every day to keep a clear head, no matter the weather.

Pam joined ETPM as a recruiter for the Marine Team in August of 2022. With previous recruitment experience, she was filling positions in no time at all.

Don’t worry, you aren’t seeing double – she’s Vicki’s twin sister!

When she isn’t keeping her daughters and husband in check, Pam loves to cook and has a reputation for being the hostess with the most-ess! She’s also a great lover of travel and will keep you right with her impeccable holiday recommendations.

Pam’s savvy holiday tip is to use Google Flights to find flights quickly for the best price!

Jodie joined us in 2022 as a Trainee ROV Recruiter and is now our go-to when it comes to all things ROV Recruitment.

Jodie frequently delights the office with her fantastic baking and misty-eyed tales of her upbringing in Shetland. In Jodie’s free time, her ideal kind of day involves spending it with family and going on walks with her son, Jay and their dogs, Winnie & Dotty.

Jodie recommends Bow Fiddle Rock for a family dog walk with stunning views.

Administration Team

mICHELLE hURST

Payroll adMINISTRATOR

Michelle arrived at ETPM in 2021 after taking time off to look after her three children! She earned a Maths degree from Aberdeen University and by her own admission sort of fell into accounts.

She loves nothing better than to binge watch box sets when the kids are in bed!

Her current bingeable box set recommendation is The Sopranos.

Denise Mead

Administration Manager

Denise is an Ocean Marine original, having been with us since 2010. As the resident Microsoft Superhero, she graciously rescues the team whenever faced with excel conundrums.

When she isn’t fixing all of our problems, you will likely find her sipping a mug of tea discussing the best TV shows running.

Denise recommends her all time favourite film, Lean on Me (coincidentally also her favourite song!).

Shelly Mountain

Resourcer

Shelly returned to the company in 2020 having previously been one of the very first members of the team during the start-up phase of ETPM.

Shelly has a fantastic portfolio of underwater photography from her Cayman Islands days – she’s also a qualified chef and keen gardener! Her dog Charlie’s tail can frequently be seen wagging in the background of teams calls.

Shelly’s recommendations for the best local food on Grand Cayman are Heritage Kitchen, Big Tree BBQ, Czech Inn Grill, Vinnies Kitchen & Caboose!

Rosie Dixon

Recruitment Administrator

Rosie joined as a Recruitment Administrator in 2022. She loves nothing more than organising our candidate files – it makes her feel very zen!

She is a keen baker and spends a lot of time sampling the coffee and cakes her hometown Glasgow has to offer. Kiwi the cat makes a regular appearance over teams during our morning meetings to say hello too.

Rosie recommends Burnfield Bakery and Cottonrake Bakery for coffee and pastries in Glasgow.

Natasha Brown

Operations LEad

Natasha has been with ETPM for over 10 years and is an integral part of the Ocean Marine Group Senior Management team. She supports the ETPM team and the other group companies focusing on Quality Management and Operational Support.

When not organising the team here, she can be found wrestling her terror twins or frequenting watering holes across Aberdeen.

Tasha’s recommendation for a staycation would be her hometown of Dornoch, up in the Highlands.
