Position Marine Operations Superintendent - (SINGLE STATUS)
Work Location Baku, Azerbaijan
Start ASAP
Duration 6 months renewable
Rotation 91/16 (90 working days followed by 16 unpaid vacation leave)
Working days/hours 260 hours monthly (10 hours / 6 days a week, from Monday to Saturday)

Job description

Reports to: Project Manager
Role
To ensure that the company's Safety Management System is fully implemented in accordance with established procedures.
Acts as a specialist in his field of expertise setting and implementing standards for safe and efficient dynamically positioned DSV operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a Safety Management System for DSV operations in line with existing company procedures.
Provide leadership and commitment for HSE Matters on the DSV
Liaise with vessels to ensure logistical support and adequate manning with qualified and competent personnel
Establish adequate training and development for marine crew, in consultation with the training department.
Develop vessel management procedures as directed by the Project Manager
Ensuring that all documentation required by flag state and ISM are identified and in place.
Develop and instigate a training program for the local (Azerbaijani) marine crew
Attend and assist with interface meetings, project planning meetings, HAZIDs etc.
Be fully familiar with IMO, IMCA , Flag State and Classification Society requirements pertaining to the DSV and ensuring that the vessel complies with such requirements.
Ensure that vessel staff are updated with changes in rules, regulations and guidelines
Evaluate the performance, ability and suitability of the vessel master and DP operators.
Liaise with the pipelines operations and diving groups to ensure that proposed vessel operations are in line with industry best practice for DP Diving vessels.
Participate in budget process as directed by the Project Manager
Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team during an emergency.
Deputize for the Project Manager in his absence as required
Participate in operational management review meetings relating to the DSV
